This is me, Lynossa. The only sane people in this blog.
So this blog started with me snooped and stalked Kayz and Mithril's conversation in a forum and found out that Mithee wanted to create a book blog. I had one already but neglected it so my thought was: why not manage one blog together?
Then in the middle of finding names - Mithee managed to come up with Teal Werepenguins, Orange Felines, and The Confessions of Lame Books Blogger - we decided the more the merrier so we added Kayz as well. All three of us are mod in a forum. Then we settled with The Deranged Book-Lovers.
Anyway, I'm the oldest - and wisest - of them. My taste in novels is varied; I read almost everything from classic to contemporary literature; horror, fantasy, thriller, children books, drama and comedy. The only genre I approach with skeptic eyes is romance (and lately teens vampire) but I'll read it if it's worth my time.
I have plenty favorite authors from classic literature such as Victor Hugo and Alexandre Dumas, to realistic fiction authors such as Paulo Coelho and Jostein Gaarder; and some of fantasy books authors such as J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jonathan Stroud, and Neil Gaiman. One of my habits is when I like a book I will search other books that were created by the author - would you consider that as 'deranged'? - that is why I rarely try books from an author I'm not familiar with unless I was recommended by people I trusted; I'm afraid of the aftermath effect: shopping frenzy.
